About Penny&Petals

I'm Becca, and I'm incredibly excited to welcome you to Penny&Petals! Ever since I was little, flowers and nature have been a constant in my life. Both my mum and my gran are amazing gardeners, and I spent weekends and summers climbing the apple tree and hiding in the woodland at the back of my gran's garden up in North Yorkshire. From an early age, they made sure I understood the importance of providing a place for nature to flourish and how flowers can make a huge difference to your well being.

I'm lucky that I've spent the last eight years building my dream career in events, and I currently work at Victoria Baths in Manchester as their Events Officer, as well as freelancing at different music and beer festivals throughout the year. I love my job and my plan has always been to work for myself, but I realised I missed being creative. So after years of debating it, I finally decided it was time to do something about it. and make flowers a bigger part of my life.

The idea for my name came from my little cat, Penny, who was my absolute world. It seemed fitting to name my work after her, as one day I hoped she'd snooze next to me in a little studio at the bottom of a garden whilst I worked. She was my chief gremlin and marketing officer, and she was a pretty good one.
